Memories to take with me

Time has flown by since my last post and it is another beautiful sunny day.

I have been slowly winding down at work, getting files together ready for the hand over on my final day. It is sad really and I am feeling a bit low as I am preparing to leave friends I have made over the years, Little G, Biddy Baxter, Little Gs on line girl friend and others who have cheered me up when I am feeling low or miffed about certain others that I know I will not miss. If I ever hear someone singing " Summer Time " I think I just may shed a few tears, or light up a cig in solute to the memory. Smokers bridge, the laughs, the singing, comrades together not a care in the world that is what I will miss.

My big day of retirement is getting near and on Thursday 30 April 2009 will be my last day in employment. Hopefully the friends I have made will keep in touch with me and I know I want to keep in touch with them. This is not goodbye because I hope to have a few more posts on here before I leave, hopefully I will get some followers for my future posts.

  1. Allow me to be your very first follower Big I. Well, I never knew you started blogging, you dark horse, you!
I like your blog and your writing style, it's really nice and I hope you continue to post for a very long time.
You know, I'll miss singing "Summer Time" with you too; but hey we've got a couple of weeks left yet, so I'm sure we'll make the most of it. And don't feel low about leaving us, we'll always be with you, either in spirit or blog form!
They can't take the fun times, the laughter and the singing away from us; they will always remain in happy memories. Together forever xxxxx.
